2 deaths et 14 injured on the Louis Majesty

Two people were died and fourteen injured Wednesday, March 3 aboard Louis Majesty struck by a large wave (8 meters) off the coast of Catalonia, north - eastern Spain.

"The windows of an public area on the bridge 5 at the bow broke, killing two passengers German and Italian nationality, while 14 others were slightly injured", the company said Louis Cruises.

The ship had on board 1350 passengers and 580 crew members, the company said. Along 200 meters, has 732 staterooms.
The Louis Majesty, which was route to the Italian port of Genoa, was diverted to Barcelona (northeast) where he arrived late Wednesday evening. The bodies of two deceased were to be landed and wounded needing care to evacuees hospitals in the city.

Delivery of the MSC Magnifica

Thursday February 25th, the shipyards STX Europe (Saint Nazaire - France) has delivered the MSC Magnifica to the italian shipowner. The ship is going to be christening at Hamburg on March 6th.

Christening of the AIDAblu

The new cruise ship of AIDACruises was delivered on February 4th by the shipyards of Meyer Werft in Allemagne.
The AIDAblu was christened on February 9th, at Hamburg and left for it maiden cruise to Palma de Majorca in Spain.

The AIDAblu have a gross tonnage of 68500, for a length of 252m (827 feet ) and a capacity of 2,050 passengers.

Norwegian Epic Europe in 2011

NCL has annouced that the Norwegian Epic, which will be delivered in May 2010, will sail from May to October in Mediterranean.

The ship will leave from Barcelona (Spain) pour Florence/Pisa (Livorno/Italy), Rome (Civitavecchia/Italu), Naples (Italu) et Palma (Majorca/Spain), along with two full days at sea.

Livraison du Costa Deliziosa

On January 29th, the shipyards of Fincantieri at Marghera in Italy, has delivered at Venise the Costa Deliziosa.
The ship will be officialy christened on February 23rd at Dubai.
The Costa Deliziosa is the sister ship of the Costa Luminosa which was delivered last June.
