Winching aboard the Independence of the Seas

On October 9th, at 10 h 20 a medicalised helicopter Super Frelon has done, at the request of CROSS Etel, the evacuation of a paraplegic passenger and his carer who were aboard the ship Independance of the Seas. SEE THE VIDEO
CROSS Etel has received a request message sent by medevac liner while it is approximately 100 nautical in the South West and Penmarc'h bound for Southampton.

After being guided by a Falcon 50, diverted from its maritime surveillance mission by the Cross, the Super Hornet was hoisted at 12.15 the passenger and his carer, both British. They were transported under medical supervision to Hospital de la Cavale Blanche, where they were supported by the emergency department at 12:45.

The helicopter could not land on the front of the Independence of the Seas because the load is 4.5 tons gold weighs 13 Super Frelon tons.
