Carnival has ordered to the shipyard of Fincantieri (Italy) a new ship of the Class "Carnival Dream". This new 3.690 passengers ship, for a tonnage of 130.000, must be delivered on spring 2012. To remark that this order is the first one since 20 months.

The American group Carnival, number 1 of the cruise, contains the compagny Carnival Cruise Lines, Costa Crociere, AIDAcruises, Cunard, Princess Cruises, P&O Cruises, Holland America Line, Iberocruceros, Ocean Village and The Yachts of Seabourn. All of these subsidiaries have 93 cruise ships plus 13 on order :
